The development of the Spanish real estate market is still very positive; in 2024, the number of transactions increased by almost 10% compared to the previous year. The willingness of foreign buyers to buy has remained good, and almost 15% of transactions nationwide were made by foreigners; on the Costa del Sol, even 20%. The number of housing transactions made by locals and bank lending also increased.

Spain’s gross domestic product is growing slightly better than predicted, rental prices are rising steadily, and the urbanization phenomenon continues strongly. Spain’s affordable price level, warm climate, and security are still Spain’s trump cards.

The market offers real estate investors several different options: from the traditional purchase of an apartment for rental use, taking advantage of potential appreciation in value, to various models of real estate development of older building stock apartments and villas, such as renovation or zoning changes, or the construction of new developments.
